Hi, I’m Ashton. I have been practicing yoga for over 15 years and teaching since 2018. I am a 200-hour yoga teacher, fitness instructor and qualified Personal Trainer. I hold additional qualifications for yin yoga and trauma informed yoga teaching.
My classes are designed with everyone in mind. Vinyasa: Yang to Yin classes are music-led high energy flows that build heat and energy and allow us to soften towards the end. My Yin classes are created to challenge the mind to find stillness and work deep into our muscles. Think blankets, bolsters and plenty of incense.
I discovered yoga or yoga discovered me after years of working in an office environment taught me that moving my body regularly was essential to my wellbeing. My yoga teacher inspired me to turn my passion into a profession and I now count myself lucky that I get to inspire hundreds of others through yoga each week.
I once described yoga as a hug on a mat and this is how I hope those that attend my classes feel. Yoga is more than a physical practice and I firmly believe in its benefits. You don’t need to be flexible to do yoga, you need only be flexible of mind. Classes are for everyone, whatever your experience and modifications are always offered.
